Ken Johnson, LCMFT

People come to therapy because they are seeking change. Ironically, life is all about change. From the moment of birth we are all engaged in a constant process of change, spurred on at least by our body’s physical growth. As we encounter change, we learn to adapt. Unfortunately, some adaptations that worked when we were younger don’t seem to work anymore as we age. For others, life circumstances can overwhelm our abilities to adapt. I don’t see people as broken and in need of “fixing.” I see people struggling to deal with life’s difficulties and in need of a helping hand.
