Maria is a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker with a goal to provide the utmost quality of services to individuals struggling with mental health challenges. Maria is also able to work with individuals living with developmental disabilities. Maria received her Master of Social Work degree from The University of Kansas.

Maria has worked as a social worker in a variety of settings including foster care, mental health (inpatient and outpatient) and medical (large teaching hospital) environments, and also has experience working with veterans. Maria specializes in trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions and codependency. Maria is trained in cognitive processing therapy (CPT) as well as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for depression, and also incorporates other therapeutic modalities in her approach to care, while factoring in a whole health perspective with an ethics and strengths-based focus. Maria’s clinical vision is to “ensure I offer a safe place for clients to experience their vulnerabilities while sharing their stories and give them the tools and understanding of themselves needed to improve their quality of life”.
