Mental Health Experts are Here for You

Mental health professionals in Wichita, Kansas, are here to guide you through your journey. Some people have adapted to an online format, so we accommodate by providing telehealth sessions. Regardless of one's situation and what they feel most comfortable with, we have an extensive roster of licensed therapists in the state of Kansas to assess whatever mental health issues you are facing. Ultimately, you are our focus, and we will be here to help you.

Our Mission

Your Healing Journey is our focus

Self-improvement and enhancing one's quality of life is a constant endeavor. Studies on human nature dictate that the mind always desires to improve upon the situation one faces. For some, that could be mitigating anxiety symptoms, while for others, it's learning how to navigate their ADHD. Treatment for getting over the hurdles of one's mental health issues can seem non-existent. Ultimately, Our mission at Resolutions is to connect our clients with a therapist that can best assist them with their mental health concerns. Our licensed counselors will walk alongside you and access whatever fear, trauma, or grief you face. After all, knowing the source of your illness, whether it is a chronic illness or acute, is the first step in developing the tools to combat mental illness.

How We Can Help

Our Mental Health Counseling Services

A mental health professional at Resolutions Therapy has extensive experience both in practice and in research. Like most therapists, ours have experience working with a myriad of patients ranging from adolescents to families. With the coronavirus pandemic still in effect, some of our counselors now offer online therapy sessions to meet with their patients at any location. As the spike in depression, anxiety and stress continue to grow; our counselors are here to provide a treatment plan to address those issues. Regardless of one's situation, our licensed professionals are here to help tackle any adversity.

Treatments Offered

Resolutions therapy center has an array of licensed professional therapists at our three locations in the Kansas area. Communities in Wichita, Kansas, will find that our therapy centers will provide treatments that have a proven track record, from cognitive behavioral therapy to eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy. Our therapists are well trained and offer treatment based on the individual and their needs. Clients facing neural divergences such as ADHD or autism will find hope and support during their counseling sessions as the therapist will provide techniques to help manage symptoms.
While a counselor is here to walk alongside you during the healing process, the end goal of the treatment is to provide the client with the proper tools so they can overcome the adversity they face. Children, adults, couples, and families all have issues. Some individuals, whether children or adults, need to find communities that empower them. Regardless, finding the modality that works best for the individual is part of living a better life.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, or CBT, is a talking therapy that can help manage issues your having. CBT is done by identifying thought patterns and changing the way one thinks and behaves. CBT is a popular method used to treat anxiety and depression, and other mental and physical problems.

DIALECTICAL BEHAVIORAL THERAPY (DBT)

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, or DBT, is a modified type of cognitive behavior therapy. This type of therapy focuses on teaching people how to live in the moment, develop healthy ways to cope with stress, regulate emotions, solve relationship problems with others, and form healthy new relationships with others.
Originally this type of therapy was developed to treat borderline personality disorder, but has been discovered to help those having difficulty with emotion regulation or showing signs of self-destructive behavior, such as eating disorders and substance abuse disorders. Additionally, this type of therapy has been used on occasion to treat post-traumatic stress disorder.

Mindfulness Therapy

Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (mindfulness therapy) is a type of psychotherapy that combines cognitive therapy, meditation, and mindfulness. This type of therapy was meant to build upon cognitive therapy, integrating it with a program to form mindfulness-based stress reduction therapy.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy, or EMDR, is a psychotherapy treatment intended to relieve one of the distress associated with memories of trauma. The therapeutic technique facilitates the accessing and processing of the traumatic memories and other adversity in finding an adaptive resolution.

The treatments listed above are just a few different methods offered to clients when they begin their healing journey. Our practice is results-oriented and focuses on pairing the patient with a therapist who has experience working with their particular issue and has practice executing the proper treatment method.

At your first session, you will meet with a counselor at Resolution Therapy Center and establish a therapeutic relationship with them. If the therapist you met with does not seem like a good fit, we will work with you to find someone who will. After all, the relationship between therapist and patient needs to be secure for healing to begin.

Testimonials

The therapists here are great! When you schedule an appointment they check to see what your preferences are and let you know about what therapists offer evenings, weekends, and daytime appointments. The customer service is very respectful and they offer discrete reminder calls or texts. When it comes to costs they can give you a heads up on what you may need to pay. Overall its a good environment and love the supportive setting.

I wasn't sure I wanted to post for all to see, but I know there are a lot of choices out there when you're looking for someone to talk with, these guys and gals are the best.

My wife and I have participated in couples and individual counseling various times throughout our 20-year marriage. I've experienced both good and bad facilities and therapists; Resolutions Therapy is by far the best I've seen!
