Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, or CBT, is a talking therapy that can help manage issues you're having. CBT is done by identifying thought patterns and changing the way one thinks and behaves. CBT is a popular method used to treat anxiety and depression, and other mental and physical problems.

DIALECTICAL BEHAVIORAL THERAPY (DBT)

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, or DBT, is a modified type of cognitive behavior therapy. This type of therapy teaches people to live in the moment, coping skills for stress, regulate emotions, solve relationship problems, and form healthy new relationships.

Initially, this type of therapy was developed to treat borderline personality disorder but has been discovered to help those having difficulty with emotion regulation or showing signs of self-destructive behavior such as eating disorders and substance abuse disorders. Additionally, this type of therapy has been used on occasion to treat post-traumatic stress disorder.

Mindfulness Therapy

Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (mindfulness therapy) is a type of psychotherapy that combines cognitive therapy, meditation, and mindfulness. This modality was meant to build upon cognitive therapy, integrating it with a program to form mindfulness-based stress reduction therapy.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy, or EMDR, is a psychotherapy treatment intended to relieve one's distress associated with traumatic memories. The therapeutic technique facilitates the accessing and processing of the traumatic memories and other adversity in finding an adaptive resolution.

What equipment do I need for an online therapy session?

All you need for online therapy is your computer (with webcam), phone, or tablet and an internet connection.

If I start with online therapy, can I switch to in-person?

This depends on the therapist. Some of our therapists can only operate online due to scheduling, location, and so on. However, it can potentially happen if that therapist offers in-person and online therapy. You can always reach out to our friendly support staff to see which of our therapists offer, or check out their therapist profile page.

Do you accept Insurance?

Absolutely. Our therapists accept a wide array of insurance providers to help minimize the therapy costs. Additionally, we offer a sliding scale based on income for therapy sessions ranging $60-$125 per session for those who would rather not use health insurance. Please contact us if you have any additional questions about health insurance and billing.

What age groups do you offer therapy services for?

We provide our services to almost all age groups, from children to adults. Additionally, we also offer family therapy for families who are seeking therapy.

How do I prepare for online therapy?

Find a nice quiet space you feel comfortable in —a place where you are able to relax and be free of distraction. Turn off anything that could interfere with your online therapy session, such as muting notifications on your phone, turning off your t.v., and so on.

How long should I do Therapy?

The length of therapy depends entirely on the individual, couple, family, etc. Everyone has a different mind, and the issues that one has are different for each person. A couple that needs marriage counseling might only need a couple of weeks to solve their relationship problems, or they could take several months. An individual facing severe anxiety and depression might need to see a counselor for a couple of weeks but then come back a month later. Ultimately, the length of the therapy needed is on a case-by-case basis. Our professional mental health staff is results-oriented, and they hope to provide you with effective treatment so you can focus on living your best life.
