Life is a journey that can sometimes be filled with challenges, adversity, hardships, and heartache. Life’s challenges can test emotions, thoughts, strengths, and weaknesses. I hope to give you the tools needed to overcome the difficulties you may face throughout your journey. I strive to offer compassion, encouragement, empowerment, and support. I’m also a firm believer that building a trusting relationship in a safe environment is key to effective intervention. Amber is a LMSW, who went to Pittsburg State University earning her undergraduate and then onto her graduate degree at Wichita State University in social work. Currently, Amber is licensed through the Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board as a master level social worker. She has over 12 years of experience working in a variety of settings which include; Child Welfare, Head Start 0-5, Community Mental Health Centers, Dialysis, and Senior Behavioral Unit. Amber looks forward to providing an array of services to individuals 18+, geriatric 65+, with an emphasis on depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar disorder, adjustment issues, grief, interpersonal relationships, and motivation/setting goals . Amber utilizes strength based perspective cognitive therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy/CBT, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy/DBT, Solution Focused Therapy, and Expressive therapy in her therapy practice. She currently is available in the late afternoon/evening for in person and teletherapy sessions during the weekdays.
